Things To Do

General Info
For general visitors information on Mount Tamborine and many of the things you can do, Discover Tamborine is a good place to start. Below are some highlights we've chosen for you, but trust us when we say avoid the glowworm "caves". It's basically just a 10 meter man-made tunnel of disappointment.

Thunderbird Park
Thunderbird Park is a part of Cedar Creek Lodges and has a number of things you can do right there. In no particular order, they have:

Skywalk
Not far from Cedar Creek Lodges is the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, where you can walk through the forest among the tree tops. We had the pleasure of doing it on one of our trips and it was fantastic.

Bush Walks

There are plenty of hiking trails on the mountain, most of which will take you to amazing views or waterfalls. And if you've got a sharp eye and are quiet enough, you can sometimes spy wild wallabies. You can find more information on the individual trails here.

Tips

Weather

There is a chance it might be slightly chilly on the mountain, especially in the evening, so bring a coat or jacket if you're sensitive to the cold. There's also a possibility of light showers, so keep that in mind as well.

Children

There is a flowing stream and an open fire pit, so please consider this if you plan to bring children. They are of course very much welcome, we just would prefer them not on fire if possible as they can get quite noisy. Plus, having to throw them in the stream will most definitely steal the bride's thunder.

Photos

Please take as many as you'd like, but please do not use flash during the ceremony as it may interefere with the professional photography. If you're uploading to Instagram, use the hashtag #clancyandreidwed so we can all check out the awesomeness.

Travel

If you need to fly to Brisbane, it's usually best to book flights roughly 6 weeks out. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us and we'd be happy to help you plan your trip. Our contact info is in the invitations if you don't already have it.

Transportation

If you need to obtain a rental car from the Brisbane airport, you can try one of these services below:

For a taxi service, here are some available options:

Communication

If you're coming from outside of Australia, cell phone/mobile service may become an issue. Before your trip, please contact your carrier and see if your plan allows for international service, and to make sure your phone is capable of international service. Roaming data charges can be astronomical, so make sure you also discuss data and service options with them.

However, depending on your phone, you may be able to purchase a cheap pre-paid SIM card upon arrival that will allow your phone to work without having to worry about crazy fees.

If you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll help you figure out a solution.
